OH MY GOODNESS!!! Another episode of Misfits coming up this Thursday. The secret is finally out anf after their super-powers are exposed to the world, the gang become celebrity super-heroes called the 'ASBO Five'. The friends attempt to deal with their sudden fame with major money to made along the way. After they move into a luxury hotel, they discover their renown has made them the target of a sinister killer. Is this the time Simon from the future was preparing for? About the show:
Misfits follows five teenagers on community service who get struck by lightning and are given special powers. Kelly (Lauren Socha) gains the ability to read the thoughts of others, Curtis (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) can rewind time when experiencing an immense sense of regret, Alisha (Antonia Thomas) sends people into a sexual frenzy when they touch her skin, and Simon (Iwan Rheon) can become invisible. Seemingly left unaffected is smart alec Nathan (Robert Sheehan), until the last episode of the first series where it is revealed that his power is immortality.
In the first episode, the Misfits kill their psychotic probation worker, Tony, after the storm turns him crazy and he tries to kill them. The main plot of the first series is the five trying to stop anyone else finding out about what they did. Tony's replacement, Sally, is revealed to be Tony's fiancee, and she suspects that the gang know more than they are saying.
Other sub-plots of the series involve Nathan being made homeless after his mum kicks him out, Alisha and Curtis becoming involved in a relationship, Curtis accidentally changing time so he never split up from his girlfriend and Simon's sense of loneliness and isolation. There are also often additional plots that only last for one episode.
About last season:
While painting benches for community service, five junior offenders get electricuted by a random storm while one is unaffected since he was in the bathroom. Throughout the day, the five start learning of their powers. Alisha makes anybody want to have sex with her through touch, Kelly gains telepathy, Simon turns invisible, and Curtis can go back in time. Unfortunately, their probation officer also gets hit by the lightning which makes him crazy and murder the boy in the bathroom. The other five use their powers (except Nathan since he was oblivious to his power so far) to survive but also end up killing their probation officer. Since the "misfits" were linked to crimes already, they knew the police wouldn't believe their crazy story. They take the two bodies and bury them underneath a bridge. Eventually, they dig up the bodies and dump them in the river since the city began to build on the burial site and and therefore find the bodies. The five misfits find out that others in the city developed powers due to the storm. Alisha and Curtis develop a relationship in which they can't touch each other (because of Alisha's power, if they touch it wouldn't be true). Simon begins a crush with their new probation officer (which dated the first P.B.) but she only seduces him to find out where her boyfriend disappeared to. She eventually finds out that the five killed the first P.B. Simon kills her in order to keep everyone's secret but the rest of the group does not find out about this until later--when Simon moves the body out of the community center. In the last episode of season 1, Nathan falls off the roof and dies. After the funeral, the camera goes to Nathan in the coffin waking up but unable to get out of the coffin.
